Not sure what to say?

Steve and I had our first fight on the 1st day of 1st grade in Wolfe City in 1958. We were both alpha type personalities and clashed often. He was known to everybody and probably not understood by anybody completely. He really liked people. That is one thing I can say about Steve. I am sorry for his family and to Jerri, Buster and all I offer my condolences. I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed. I am living overseas in the Philippines now but will visit Wolfe City in March and April of...

I never met Steve in person, but used to talk to him on the phone when we were looking for a Lab pup. He didn't have a litter to sell, but did he ever like to talk dogs! He was very, very helpful. I remember how modest and funny he was, too. The discussion turned to Lean Mac, the Labrador we'd heard was one of the greatest, if not THE greatest. He said, "Well, I beat Maxx once." I said, "Wow!" Then he said, "Of course, he was having a bad day."
Our prayers and best regards to...

Jerri Lea and family, were really saddened to hear of Steves passing. Steve was more like a brother to me than my trainer. I will truely miss all his longhorn stories and his helpful advice he had given me during the seven years i knew him. We will greatly miss him.
Steve Rest IN Peace My Friend.

Jerri Lea, we are so sorry to hear. You both have been so supportive and friends to us as we learned the "car" business. It's a different world without Steve. God bless you.

Steve will be missed very much! He was a good friend. My prayers go out to Steve and his family.

All,
I would like to say thank you for your prayers and thoughts. I will continue to think about my Daddy every day of my life and I love seeing how many friends he had. He was a wonderful, energetic Longhorn! Hook 'Em!

Jerri Lee, Sharon and family, Steve was such a wonderful friend growing up. My first memories are being at his birthday party even before we started to school. I still have the picture of that, and then when we walked in Halloween Court as Crown Bearers is another fond memory. All through high school, band, so many things, we were always in the same "crowd." I know this is a sad time and my prayers are with you. The world and especially Wolfe City have lost a wonderful person. God please...

Our prayers go out to Steve and family. He will be missed. Hook 'em Horn regards.

I didn't see Steve every day, but the world will be a different place knowing that he isn't here. I will miss him a lot. Jerri Lea, you know where to find me, and I remain at your service should you need anything.
