Steven Streeter Obituary

Steven Streeter

Jacksonville Beach, FL - Steven Erwin "Steve" Streeter, 72, passed away on May 23, 2025, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Born on August 15, 1952, in Westfield, Massachusetts, Steve lived a vibrant and adrenaline-filled life marked by unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A proud graduate of Greenfield Vocational School in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Steve carried the values of hard work and determination into every chapter of his life. He built a successful lifelong career as a salesman with Ganz, where he found not only professional success but also deep personal fulfillment. His passion for connecting with people and his tireless work ethic made him a respected figure among colleagues and clients.

A true New Englander at heart, Steve's loyalty to the Patriots never wavered. Yet after moving south, he embraced the Jacksonville Jaguars from their inception and cheered them on with equal fervor. His love for sports extended far beyond fandom; in his younger years he raced snowmobiles and stock cars competitively. He also enjoyed running, waterskiing, and watching NASCAR-where his motto "Praise Dale and raise hell!" captured both his love for speed and his spirited personality.

Steve is survived by his children Scott Streeter, Joshua Streeter, Melanie Streeter, Sharon Tudryn, and Christopher Grogan; his brother Ralph Streeter; sisters Doreen (Gary) Stevens and Mindy (Jim) McDonough; many grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and former wife, Carol Streeter. He was predeceased by his parents Erwin "Bud" Streeter and Phyllis Streeter.

A memorial service celebrating Steve's life was held on June 3, 2025, at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

May Steve's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

Sara, thank you for your message about my brother. Everything you said sounds so much like my big brother. He was always my hero. The peanut butter sandwich made me laugh and cry a little. He was staying with us a few years ago when we were remodeling our kitchen and he could not find the peanut butter and called me at work and said where is your peanut butter, I know you have some, lol.
Also for John and Paul our old neighborhood kids. Thank you for your thoughts.
Holly you are a blessed cousin.
I will miss him very much, I always knew I could count on him and he knew I had his back too. Love you brother.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father.

He was an incredibly kind person.

He´s the only person that I could call or text at 5 AM in the morning and he would respond in less than a minute.

He was my Ganz Rep for over a decade, and the only rep that I would meet with, each time that we would get together we had a wonderful day talking and we would always eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich together. Did you know that your father loved Crustables. Every time, before he would come to Gainesville, he would always text me to make sure that I would have his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There were even times your father brought Lucy to hang out with us.

Your dad helped me get better insurance for my truck and not too long ago had me meet him in Jacksonville, at the flea market, so I could get four new tires for my truck.
My daughter recently had my first grandchild, and your dad did not want me driving to Michigan without better tires, to get through the snow.

In April, I started liquidating my store so I could retire. Your dad and I talked often about my retirement. The last text I got from your dad he made me promise that I would keep in touch. I told him I would have it no other way.

Walking through the grocery store the other day, I saw a box of Crustables in the freezer- I started to cry.
I miss my dear friend.
