On Sunday, September 6th, 2020, Steven Garrett Vaughan passed away at the age of 49. Steven was born on October 19th, 1970 to Anthony and Mary Vaughan. He was the third of their four children. Steven was born and raised in Georgetown, MA. After graduating Georgetown High School, Steven entered the military, joining the US Air Force, where he proudly served his country. He was honorably discharged in January 1998. Steven enjoyed strong relationships and bonds with those he met during his military career that lasted up until his final days. Steven went on to enjoy a career in the HVAC industry and continued to be active in soccer, golf, kayaking and traveling around the country. From an early age, Steven had a deep connection with animals. There was a certain joy and peace in him when he was caring for them. That led to one of his most enjoyable jobs, working at Weloset Kennels. Steven's deepest and most cherished bond was with his Bull Mastiff Bo. They are together now. Steven is predeceased by his father Anthony and is survived by his mother Mary; his brother Scott, his wife Jessica, and their two children, Ava and Harrison; his sister Andrea, her son Ryan; and his sister Suzanne and her husband Bryan. Steven will be missed deeply by his family as well as his many friends and extended family. Steven had chosen to be cremated in lieu of a traditional service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, traditional services are not possible at this time. Our family will celebrate Steven's life with immediate family. For those who wish to honor Steven's memory, we are asking for donations to be made to the Humane Society of America. This is one of Steven's favorite charities.
