Not sure what to say?

Mary,

I’m so sorry to hear about Steve’s death. I remember friendly coming over to have dinner with you and Steve. He made homemade spring rolls. I had never ever made anything like that in my life. I was amazed. Because were great company. He also gave me a book called tales of a female nomad that I read and he said I think he would really like this book. I took it to her it was about a lady who traveled the world when she was in her 60s all by herself. And I ended up leaving...

Rest In Peace, Steve. You will remain the most welcoming person I ever met. Your eyes would light up and your arms open to hug a friend.

To Mary, Richard and Michael, my deepest sympathies as you adjust to the loss of Steve.

Mary, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Steve last month. I have fond memories of our skiing with you in the Oregon Nordic Club many years ago. I think our paths also crossed in OOPS.

A simple memory of Steve in his work at Kaiser. Once when Sherry was seeing him about getting contacts, I asked why I never saw optometrists wearing contacts, but only glasses. His comment was " Interesting. True."

I look forward to Steve's memorial service.

Ted

We will miss Steve's company at Edwards family gatherings -- and his lovely photos. It was always special to share travel experiences. We look forward to continuing those experiences with Mary.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was so well loved and respected at Kaiser. He was one of my favorites to work with at Kaiser Eyecare. His kind nature, great smile and sincere appreciation and caring of others I remember well. My sincere condolences to the family. I hope your loving memories bring you peace and comfort in the weeks and months ahead.

I was so sorry to hear about Steve, remembering my time in OOPS, and how active he was, in life and with the kayaking community. Even then, he and Mary had taken lots of interesting trips and members enjoyed his excellent photography and presentations. I can't help but think those memories sustained him through Parkinson's. It sounds like he made a large contribution to Kaiser and had a life well-lived.

My condolences to the family. Dr. Wagner hired me in 1986 as a Contact Lens Tech when I moved to the area from San Diego. I enjoyed my years working with him at the Interstate campus.

Im sorry for your loss of a wonderful man! I worked with him for years in the contact lens department and he was such a great teacher and a respected doctor. I still work for Kaiser and his name is brought up when we talk about the past and how it used to be many years ago. He had so many patients that helped over the years and made such a difference in peoples life. Blessings to all of you at this time! Gina Schmidt

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Steven. Steven, his parents and brothers were my next door neighbors for the first 14 years of my life. I was blessed to see him a half dozen times or so in my adult life. Steven was quite soft spoken, caring and a friend in my youth. I remember Pipo boarding with him on a few occasions when in Seaside. My sympathies to you all. Tom Cook
