Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Steve's family. I only worked with him a short time, but he made an impact as we shared a number of similar interests. His passing is a great loss to our community.

I am immensely sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I was lucky to consider him both a colleague and a friend. My sincere condolences to his family for their deep loss.

I had the privilege of working with Steve at Davis Library when he was the manager overseeing the branch. He was wonderful to work for - he was always calm and measured with a great sense of humor. He always wanted to make Davis better and treated the staff and customers with grace. We miss him.

It was a pleasure to work with Steve, and I was very saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and colleagues. Steve was wise, kind, and patient. He was calm under pressure, and had a great way with his staff, colleagues and customers. We were all very fortunate to have him in our lives in this place and time, and I'm sure his generous and kind spirit will benefit whomever he encounters in the time and space beyond. Yours in solidarity, Eric.

I am very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. As a patron of MN, I benefited from his knowledge of library systems. He helped me to tap Talking Book resources for my visually impaired mother in Texas. She then proceeded to read a couple of hundred books in her last years. I was always happy to see him at MN & QO, one of the outstanding MCPL staff truly dedicated to the reader.

I worked with Steve when he first came to Montgomery County Public Library and was a "trainee manager" at Aspen Hill. He was quiet, calm and one of those people who is intelligent, educated *and* wise. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

As a former library board member, I interacted with Steve at the Maggie Nightingale Library in Poolesville and the Davis Library in Bethesda. He was always a delight. Polite, respectful, kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic. I am very sorry that he has left us. My heartfelt condolences to the Warrick family.

I am so very grateful for having had the opportunity to work under Steve. He made managing look easy, even though, we all know it isn't! I appreciate how patient and forgiving he could be; while, at the same time, he pulled out the best in his staff. I am filled with sorrow for his family.
