Not sure what to say?

Jennifer,
My heart goes out to you and your family. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad you were able to be at his side, I am sure it meant so much to both of you. May your dad rest in peace.

I don't know what happened to my entry but. ..I also belong to centennial post 2481 and what steve and I had in common, not by which branch of service but to know and understand the core of what he felt during his battle with cancer, Steve made it 6 more years, I'm only on 3.5 but the education one receives doing battle of a different kind changes one's perspectives. Dear Jennifer,
I’m sorry about your loss. He sounds like an awesome man.
My Prayers and thoughts are with you.

Pride in our Country

I first had the Honor of meeting Steve when I joined Centennial Post 2481. The day I walked into a meeting and stated I was in the 1st Cavalry Division it was instant Steve and I were more then just fellow service men we were Brothers. Our bond grew over the years we have known each other. We greeted each other with a big Hug. I wear on my Honor Guard uniform a 1st Cavalry Patch that Steve gave me it was one that he wore in Country. This is will be with me till the Day I meet up with my...

Steve, every time we look at the sycamore, alders and redwoods you gave us we think of you. They are growing so well! Your spirit lives on!

Jen, sorry about your loss he was such a young man. From your obit it is obvious we all lost a great citizen. I will light a candle for him at church.

With love to Steve's family.

I first met Steve on the VA shuttle enroute to San Francisco VA Medical Hospital. I had the pleasure of his company several times after that. We shared experiences we both had in Vietnam. I am so sorry to hear of his demise. I am a prostate cancer survivor. I know that he is now at peace, his battles are now over. Rest in Peace Comrade. Welcome home.
