Not sure what to say?

Jodie,
As I visited with my boys this weekend, I couldn't help but think of you and Steven. I know how important he was in your life. You can just tell with all the photos and the stories you share. Your relationship was quite special and while this makes the loss so very painful, I do believe that your closeness and warm memories will bring you comfort. As a mother of two boys, know that I am thinking of you and your son.

Hello, my name is Kahne McDowell and my daughter, Adrienne, is across the sidewalk from your dear son, Steven. I've taken care of his flowers and added some for the last three weeks since my daughter joined him. I'd love to meet you sometime. No one should bury their children...

Jodie,
When the days and weeks pass, take comfort and remember that you have us to help you through difficult times. I will cherish the memories of taking the boys on the big Lake Fork, Texas fishing trip. And the many miles put on those golf carts up and down Four Oaks.
Tony and I love you my friend.

Jodie, I cannot even begin to imagine your pain. My heart aches for you and Steven's family and many friends. I know there are no words to ease your grief. But even as I write this note I am smiling at so many memories you shared with the girls in the office about Steven. I think all of our lives are blessed for having known Steven if only for a short while. I, too, look forward to meeting him again. Heaven will never be the same again. Good luck, God!!!!! You are going to need it. ...

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away" (Revelation 21:4).
