Always popular activity.

One of the finest teachers ever to grace a classroom. His methods to get kids or all ranges to rise to their potential was unmatched. He cared about everybody and will be missed. I thank him for helping me along the way with his innovative ideas you don't get from the books. God bless his family and friends.

Gary was my neighbor for several years after his retirement. I often had conversations with him and always enjoyed his company. My condolences to his friends and family. He was a great neighbor to be around. RIP Gary.

Gary was a long-time, loyal friend since 1970 when he was teaching at Roosevelt Junior High and generously took new teachers under his wing. I was new to the area, and he became part of my family. We spent time taking day trips and road trips before my children were born and when the oldest was young. He always enjoyed spending time reading to and tutoring my boys over the years. We shared many adventures, along with the twists and turns life brings. Gary was generous to a fault, especially...

An amazing teacher and a great inspiration! Thank you!

Rest in Peace my friend. You helped me in my first years of teaching at Kennedy. You will be missed. God Bless.

I admired Gary as my Roosevelt math teacher because he cared about his students. I admired Gary while I worked with him as a fellow teacher at West. His dedication and compassion impacted many lives. His jovial laugh will be missed.
Rest in peace.

What a fun loving guy, Gary was. He was such a talented and creative math teacher who saw the differences in each and every student. Lounge time and after school events were always fun filled when Gary was there!!!! RIP, friend, you will be missed by many!

Gary was one of my first friends when I began teaching in RPS205 and he remained one of my dearest, closest friends for the next 17 years. Gary was always the first to celebrate and honor every special occasion and the first to show up and stay when things were not going well. Holidays and birthdays will never be the same without his beautiful, hand made paper ornament showing up at my doorstep, in a beautifully hand-lettered envelope. He was an artist and the best teacher I've ever known....

Gary and I played many hours of scrabble together. He was always so focused and intense. We shared many pleasant times together. He was a good friend.
