Obituary

Australian rock legend Stevie Wright has died at the age of 68.

He was the lead singer and one of the founders of The Easybeats. The band started in 1964 when Wright and his bandmates were only teenagers. Soon after the band became a huge success and had a following in Australia similar to Beatlemania which was called “Easyfever.”

The band had many hits in Australia, their biggest hit internationally was the song “Friday on my Mind’ in 1966.
