Robert L Strickland "Stew was a good friend and client at Paine Webber." He will be missed.

Stewart was a generous and well informed supporter of University Of Texas at San Antonio art student scholarships. He and Marianne easily entertained friends in their grand and genial manner. Stewart's extensive erudition as well as his array of interests and experiences made him among the best versed and masterful raconteurs. Our lives and institutions are clearly better because of Stewart's skillful efforts. He is missed.

The Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics at the UT Health Science Center is deeply indebted to Stewart and Marianne Reuter for their creative inspiration as well as their foundational and sustaining support. We are grateful for your many contributions towards "preparing tomorrow's healers to act with compassion and justice". We send our warm condolences to the Reuter family, and especially to Marianne.

Stu was a special friend and support to me after my father died in 1948. We were young boys then and played many games of one on one football in his side yard and we built a 5 hole golf course around his house. Wonderful growing up memories. He was obviously a very special person with great talent. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I extend my deepest sympathy to you Marianne and his sister Ann. Reuters were very special -this brings tears to my eyes!!

Stewart was a big part of our family during our growing up years in Springfield, Ohio. I am so sorry to learn of his death. My condolences to you, Marianne, and to my dear friend, his sister, Ann, and her family.

Marianne, my e-mail address is [email protected] if you want to contact me.

I was so heartbroken to read about Dr. Reuter's passing in our local newspaper. Marianne, I always had you and Dr. Reuter on my mind since my retirement, especially last week. I mentioned to Vince that I wondered how both of you were doing. I loved when he called in to the office to check on things when on vacation or business trips and identified himself as "George Bush", "Rumpelstilskin", or someone else other than himself. He always made me laugh, especially when he would come in to the...

I remember Stewart from residency at University of Michigan where he taught us angiography and interventional radiology at Wayne County. He was always kind, supportive and open. Bonnie and I had the pleasure to visit Stewart and Marianne in southern California at their home: open, warm, informative and welcoming. Later I saw Stewart at national meetings and he always remained a friendly, inspirational, teacher and leader. He will be missed.
