As I continue to think about Stewart and how much he meant to me , I realize that I never , ever departed from being with him without a smile on my face ...... what an amazing gift !

I will never forget Stewart when we were on an italy trip with IJL he asked our tour guide at thr vatican area and St Peters Basilca " is the Pope here?" He is " well can you get him down here" " i gotta get a little something off my chest". Classic Stew!!!!! Oh he was so funny

Stew Baby was a big, burly bear of a man with a teddy bear heart, a megawatt smile, and a dulcet toned voice of pure southern grace and charm. When he spoke, whether it be about politics, Georgia football, or the state of the economy, he owned the room--Cronkite with a gentile Georgia drawl. Among the many things I admired about Stewart was the way he engaged everyone he met on a personal level from a doorman to a CEO. Its July, and I just learned of Stew Baby's passing in February. My belated condolences to his family, especially wife Jennifer and sister Molly. Stew and I go back to the 70s, when we were fraternity brothers at UGA, attending many football games and tailgates, parties and nights at the Fifth Quarter preparing ourselves for our futures. We were in each other's first weddings (and very thankfully both "hit very successful mulligans" years later. Stew's family loved the Dawgs. Stew's sister...

Stewart Richardson was absolutely one of a kind. He was the consummate professional at work , the life of the party at play and as true a friend as ever lived all of the time.
I am blessed to have known him and I celebrate in the knowledge that Stewart is now in a far better place .... probably entertaining all who reside in the Heavenly realm at this very moment.

So very sad to hear this news about Stewart! We lived in Athens from 1986 to 1990 and hardly knew anyone when we moved there. Being Auburn grads we were kind of "outsiders" but connected with Stewart right away and it was fast and furious. Then we discovered he was Nancy's sister who was our friend from Mobile and we really connected. Many late fun nights on Westlake Drive!

Stewart was a special man, brother, husband, father and a very special friend. Known and loved for his sense of humor, Stew Baby, aka “Shoes” to some of us after wearing one black and one brown shoe to his job interview, loved to laugh and make others laugh. I’m not sure heaven is ready for him...he will have the other angels laughing in no time. To say that we will miss him is a gross understatement.

Stew and I met in Athens , 1977. We were in each other's weddings (rd1) and regardless time lapsed between visits , we always picked up right where we left off. In life , we all meet some 'characters' but in that context / sphere there's never been anyone even remotely close to Stew Baby . He was truly one of one.
