Stewart Lee Slusher Stewart Lee Slusher, 80, of Manassas, passed away December 30th, 2011 at the Manassas Health & Rehab Center. Born February 26th, 1931 in Manassas, VA, he was the son of Glenn Ray and Nellie Breeden Slusher. Mr. Slusher served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a plans inspector for Arlington County, and after retirement, he worked for E.E. Wine for seven years. He was a member of the Manassas Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Slusher. Survivors include two sisters, Sophie Kidwell and her husband Gene of Winchester, VA, and Beckie Thompson and her husband Doug of Gainesville, VA; one brother, Melvin "Pete" Slusher of Manassas; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Slusher of Manassas; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Manassas Baptist Church, 8800 Sudley Road, Manassas, with Reverend Dr. William T. Higgins, , Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Manassas Baptist Church, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110, or to the Alzheimer's Association, Attn: Development Department, 5900 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 1100, Los Angeles, CA 90036 Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of Michael Ward.
