Mr. Van Wingerden was my 6th grade teacher at Campus School in 1956. He was such a dedicated and wonderful teacher. One of my fondest memories of him was his allowing another student in the class and myself to compete in finishing our math book. We both finished the book in early January, and were rewarded by having a 'free' period for the rest of the school year. He was such a kind man, and one of my favorite teachers. My deepest condolences on your loss.
