Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Senator Strom. He was the icon of constituancy service and compassion. He came to my rescue on several occassions and I will never forget his kindness and personal touch in time of need. He was a true American patriot who loved and was proud of his state of South Carolina. May God's blessings be with all of his loved ones and may they never forget his contribution.

Although I did not know him personaly, I could feel his presence in our area. He was well liked and a devoted american citizen. He gave his all for the people of this area and he is greatly missed.

Senator Thurmond was a giant among men, and a true Patriot. He always had time for the common man, and always had his thoughts and concerns in mind when making decisions affecting his constituents. Out Great nation was blessed to have a man of his stature in the Senate. I know he has received his just rewards in the hereafter. May the Good Lord bless his family and friends, and be with them always. James E. Pyle, LTC IN US Army, Retired(formerly from Augusta, Ga.

Thank you for your many years of loyal service to our great state of SC. We all loved you just as much as you loved our state. May you rest in peace in God's hands knowing what a difference you made in so many people's lives. The person that said the good die young - did not know you. God gave you to us for an entire century! How lucky we all were!!

GOOD-BY TO A GREAT PERSON! YOU WILL BE MISSED.

Thank you

I met Strom Thurmond in 1985 when I was touring Washington & the White House with a bus group. We went outside & waited on the steps for him to come out & have his picture taken with us. He was such a wonderful man. He didn't care who you were or how much money you had...he was there to help us & will be deeply missed by all of us in South Carolina & the United States. My thoughts & prayers are with the Thurmond family.

To the Thurmond Family,

May the Lord keep you in HIS HANDS during the trying days ahead.

May God bless those he left behind. He was and always will be the greatest of all leaders.
