Stu was long time friend of our family. He and my father John Puffer looked after each other in their later years. He was "Uncle Stu" to me and my two girls Sarah and Libby. A true gentleman with a wicked sense of humor, we will miss him. Our sympathy to his family and many friends.

I was very sad to learn of Stu's passing as he was a very close friend of my father, Leon Wilmot. Both gentlemen served and co-founded the Tenth Mountain Division Foundation together and Stu served on the Foundation Board of Directors with both of us for many years. He was also a great friend of mine personally. My sincere condolences to all family members.
