Not sure what to say?

I worked with Stu for many years on the Tonto. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and zaniness. I remember being in the field one day when a rattlesnake started rattling at us. Stu walked up and stuck his boot out at the rattlesnake. When I asked him what he was he doing he said he just wanted to see how aggressive the snake was-that was Stu. Taleena and Mya,
I just found out that your beloved father has passed away. I have such fond memories of him he was such a great man and was so fun to be around.
I will never forget him and I knew of his love for his girls. He lived a great life and was especially a great adventurer. May you be comforted during your time of loss.
Sincerely,
Timalee Rich

To his wife and daughters:
Gary and I are so sorry for your loss. Stuart was a friend when you needed him and just a beautiful person in so many ways. The world is less because he is gone. Prayers for your peace.
Much love,
Ellie and Gary LaChapelle

Stu could always lighten up any situation with a laugh, joke or story. He is still doing that on his next adventure.

I have very fun and fond memories that include Stu, either at the forest service or at his home with the girls. I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing he lives on through memories and is always looking over you.

Our condolences to the Herkenhoff family. Stu was a good man and one of the best rangers ever. We will miss him. Rest In Peace, Stu.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
