STUART EDWARD HOLMES Sr.

HOLMES, Stuart Edward Sr., 79, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 21, 2009. He is survived by his sons, Stuart Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, David and his wife, Alice, James and his wife, Sue, Richard and his wife, Brenda, and Michael Holmes; brothers, Raymond Thomas Holmes Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, Preston Turner Holmes and his wife, Rachel; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Loretta A. Holmes; daughter, Linda Jane Holmes; sister, Shirley May Maxey; and brother, Stanley Rudolph Holmes Sr. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
