Not sure what to say?

I worked with Stuart on one of the Met's centennial shows, Before Cortes, in 1968-70, and was amazed at his quick grasp of the issues of Pre Columbian art and his creativity. We were both young, almost the same age. His design for the Classic Maya room used a cornered vaulted ceiling, such as the Maya used. Nice to Learn of his innovations and see what he had done afterwards. RIP.

Stuart and my former husband, Richard C Siegel were very close friends when they first graduated from Pratt Institute. I recall that in my job as placement director, I may have connected Stuart to the Metropolitan m
Museum, but none of the details. I remember Stuart as very smart, with a great sense of humor, who loved Elizabeth very much.

Stuart was a wonderful mentor, friend and colleague. I'll miss his gregariousness, his intelligence and innovation, and particularly his humor.
