Dr. Winston did my cervical fusion 30 years ago this Nov. at Mercy Hospital and God used him to bring healing to my neck for the surgery was completely successful and I have always been so thankful for him. I´m sorry to see he passed so young. Thank you Randy. LB

Jane and family - My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I met Randy for the first time the morning of his passing. He greeted me with a smile and a warm handshake. It was at that point I learned he would be a fellow golfer in our foursome. I was with Randy when he suffered his emergency until the paramedics took over. I was hesitant to make this post, however I feel it's only right I let you know Randy was playing great and having fun. He didn't appear to be suffering at any time....

I was sorry to hear of Dr. Winston's passing. I will forever be grateful to him for the excellent surgery he performed on my back in 1978.

After suffering many months and only able to walk with crutches I was hospitalised and a friend recommended him.

I will never forget him walking into my room in his cowboy boots and after a brief exam said, "you need surgery and I am goingto fix you". Late the next day he did surgery and my back has been good ever since.

I am saddened to hear of Randy's passing, he was wonderful individual and a very good surgeon. I knew Randy in the OR where he worked with skill and compassion for his patients. He was a gentleman and stood up for people and causes with a passion.

I also had the privilege of playing a few rounds with Randy in Des Moines. He was an enthusiastic golfer with a quick laugh, often finding humor in the game and in in his own swing. It makes me smile a little that he left us with club...
