Sudie Loraine Jackson Garris, 65, of Castle Hayne, NC, passed away at her home with her loving husband by her side, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.


She was born in New Hanover County on May 18, 1953, daughter of Margarita Muller Jackson and the late Harold Jackson.


Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband of 46 years, John Garris of the home; a son, David Garris and wife Shirley of Rocky Point, NC;  three sisters, Stephanie Harris (Larry), of Matthews, NC, Margaret Porter (Phil) of Burgaw, NC, and Lucia Rivera of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.


A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

We are so sorry to hear that Loraine has passed. She was a very special friend and will always be remembered for her positive attitude no matter what obstacle she faced and her loving and caring ways. Prayers for the whole family during this difficult time.

So sorry to learn about Lorrine passing , in all the years we have lived accross from her , we never got to meet her only once. Her deceased mother in law spoke highly of her. Wish we could have seen her more we will pray for the family as this is a very hard time I'm sure, if we can help in any way please call on us.
