Sula Mulvaney, 87, Potter, Kansas, died unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 21st, at 11:00 A.M. at Round Prairie Cemetery.
Sula was born October 23, 1937, in Arkansas, the daughter of Josh and Mattie (Carethers) Wilbourn. At a young age they moved to Kansas, and she attended school in Jefferson County graduating from Winchester High School.
She and Roy D. Mulvaney were married June 10, 1956. Mr. Mulvaney preceded her in death on January 4, 1996.
Sula loved sewing and crafts. She and her sister Audine had a craft shop in Potter. She enjoyed crafting and attending various craft shows and flea markets throughout the region. Sula was creative and enjoyed making wedding cakes for family members.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cathy Mulvaney, Potter, KS, Vicki Alexander, Potter, KS, a son, Ricky Mulvaney, Nortonville, KS, a sister, Mary Jo Walker, Potter, KS, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, Darrin Alexander, a brother, David Wilbourn, and sisters, Audine Pennington and Virginia Herken.

Sue has a dear heart. She taught me many things and always said "I love you". I'll miss hearing her voice but know she is with God......and reunited with family.

I always looked forward to visiting her and uncle Roy. We sat around the living room and reminisced.
Sue was so kind to meI bought some crafts from her and she made my wedding cake in 1981I was proud of that. I will miss her.
