Milton Mills, New Hampshire:

Sumner J. Knowles, Jr., (Sonny), age 28, of Cattail Lane in Milton Mills, NH, died February 21, 2003 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH.

Born November 2, 1974 in Rochester, NH, he was the son of: Sumner J. and Ethel E. (Hatch) Knowles of Lebanon, Maine. He resided most of his life in Maine, where he attended Lebanon Elementary School, Hanson School and Noble Jr. High School, where he received several awards from the Vocational School in mechanical work.

He was employed with 125 Fencing in Barrington and had previously worked at Hervey's Tire and D & D Autos.

Sonny enjoyed mechanical work, also mudding while four wheeling, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, snowmobiling and especially loved spending time with his children.

Survivors include his mother: Ethel E. (Hatch) Knowles of So. Lebanon, Maine, his children: Sumner J. Knowles, III and Shawna Knowles, also a boy whom he treated like his own: David Robinson, of Milton Mills, NH, 6 sisters: Rose Little of Vassalboro, ME, Jeanette Hubbard of Unity, ME, Joan Laflamme of Chelsea, ME, Cora Buzzell of Oakland, ME, Donna Cook of Oakland, ME and Jo Robinson of Ellsworth, ME, 2 brothers: Stephen Robinson of Rochester, NH and Craig Robinson of Lebanon, ME, also Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, several Nieces and Nephews, including Stephanie Robinson known to Uncle Sonny as "sweetpea" and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Sumner J. Knowles, Sr., Feb. 28, 1986, a sister: Theresa Lancaster Dec. 10, 1998 and a brother: Ronald Robinson, Dec. 2, 1978.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2003 at C.E. Peaslee and Son Funeral Home 32 Central Street Farmington, NH at 1:00 pm. The calling hour is prior to the service from 12noon-1pm. Interment will be in the spring at the Milton Mills Cemetery.
