Not sure what to say?

I adored his "Pleasure Preserve" sculpture when I visited York in May. I wanted to learn more about him and was sad to read that he had passed. RIP.

RIP Mr.Winebaum! I worked at Winebaums in the early 1970's for him and his Dad. Remember them both as kind and sweet men.

An artist and a gentleman.
A life well-lived.

I've had the extreme pleasure of meeting Sumner later in his life and working together on a project for York Hospital. Always a truly great and very interesting man to get to know. I enjoyed our walks at his home. I only wished I had had more time! I've enjoyed getting to know the both of them, Helen and Sumner and I know you are together again. God bless.

I had the pleasure of working for Mr Winebaum back in 1978-79 in Dover. I will always remember the time I lost my wallet with my recently cashed pay check in it, he heard about it and called me into his office and promptly had a new check cut to cover my loss. That was totally unexpected and very much appreciated, that is a story I have told many times over the last 40 years. He was a great man and I'm sure he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Sumner was the best! His business acumen, his Philanthrophy, his art and his friendship were legendary. He and Helen are together again, as it was meant to be. Sincere sympathy to the extended family. May he Rest In Peace...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will surely miss him. He and my dad, Flo, were great roomies and a comfort to each other. Great stories of old time Portsmouth and how things used to be.
