Not sure what to say?

I was very sorry to learn of Sunanda Mitra's recent passing. She was a very accomplished scientist, which should be obvious from her obituary. She was also a very nice person who was always very supportive of her younger colleagues and her students. The TTU ECE department, as well as the entire university was fortunate to have her on the faculty for so many years. She was a pioneer and a wonderful role model, especially for women faculty in engineering. She will be greatly missed. My sincere...

Dear Rita & Family,
Very sorry to learn of Mrs. Mitra’s passing,
our deepest sympathies to yall.
Mrs. Mitra was a true inspiration for the two little girls that grew up living next door to her. She was so very kind, with a smile that would light up any room, even outdoors. From a young age, I knew Mrs. Mitra was the embodiment of a quiet, calm strength, it wasn’t until now that I would learn the full scope of all her wonderful accomplishments and achievements throughout her...

A loving and caring aunt she always was to me. Whenever she came over here in Calcutta, she always had something special for me. She was the one who always cared enough to call me over phone, even though I was a poor communicator. Though we lived many miles away, it would feel as if she was always nearby. And now I would feel her absence even more.

Dear Sunanda (Mashi) (Di),

You will always be remembered by us with fond memories. Thank you for kindness and generosity. We will never forget your love and warm affection ( and your showering of delicious chocolates). May your journey be a peaceful one. Love and pronams always.

Dr. Mitra was always more than a mere academic advisor to me. She was like a caring grandmother. An inspiration.
She has a major contribution to what I am today and I can never forget that. Words fall short to express my gratitude for her.
I will miss a lot of things about her, especially those different life stories she used to tell us.

(May your soul rest in peace)

Rita, our thoughts and prayers are with you and Danielle on the passing of Sunanda. She was such a wonderful woman. I enjoyed working with her in my years at TTI.

I will remember Dr. Mitra for my entire life. We used to have nice discussions of applications of Physics principles in Engineering Mathematics. She used to say that after studying Physics a student can then go into other areas.
Rest in peace Mum.
