Not sure what to say?

Sunshine and her wonderful and loving family was our next door neighbors on Delhi Street in Bossier City for many years when I was growing up. I remember her ringing the dinner bell when it was time for supper. I remember thinking what a great mother she was to her five children. I felt a warm kinship to her and her family.
Her personality was absolutely sparkling to anyone she spoke to. She was a true Southern lady from the core.
I will never forget her and will always remember her...

Mrs.Dement was a loving and gracious person. I loved having her as a teacher. Tim and family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Sunshine Dement taught me at a very early age that if you loved the Lord, you are to love His people. I had the priviledge of riding with her as she checked on a sick friend, brought a meal to a hungry family, took a child to Sunday School or stayed in prayer for her friends and family. She showed me the meaning of loving God's children through actions of kindness. Always open armed to give a hug or offer a positive word of encouragement.
She was my mother-in-law for many years and...

I had the privilege of being a student of Mrs. Dement at GJHS and working with the Dement family at the Holiday Inn. Mrs. Dement was a beautiful lady, inside and out. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Ann and the Dement Family-You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I never had the privilege of meeting Ms. Sunshine, but she and Mr. Dement has a wonderful daughter that my husband and family have known for 25 years. I do know that Annie loves her parents and has honored them all these years. With the Lord in our lives, comfort and grace is always our portion. I love you little Annie and may you and your dad be comforted at this time...........MUDD

A gracious lady.....the world is a much poorer place at her passing. God bless and hold your family close.

Our prayers are with you and family. Thanks for your friendship and service during your tenure as Mayor.
