Today on the anniversary of Surjit Bains being called to Glory one remembers a great soul, a true Alwynian to the core , many many years my senior and a brother.

Surjitji, a great soul and friend whom Id never met but spoke so often like old school friends. My senior and mentor. Love you and miss you. Sam Mathews. junior. Allen, Mussoorie.

Surjitji was friend, elder brother,mentor and a person on could talk to anytime for any reason whatsoever. I am far too junior but we somehow connected and were in touch long distance from the US to New Delhi.I had once written about Peter and Helen Kidd and he immediately called me. The last time he connected was when he had the Principal Peter and Helen at a Canam reunion he had organised and insisted that I speak up.Great soul. God bless Judy and the family.
