Not sure what to say?

I just found out that Susan has passed. She was a wonderful host to my husband and me over the years. We spent 3 Christmases together, and had such good fun. Susan was smart, giving, humorous, and very interesting. She seemed timeless to me, and I will always be grateful for her kindness, and the beautiful jade plants I have now, from her. She gave so much to her community, teaching, dog training, opening her home to winter lovers, rescue training, and probably many more contributions I just...

Susan Alderman, always remembered

A best friend to so many, always helping, always listening. My memories of Susan will always be cherished.

I rented a room in Susan's basement for a month in 2015 while traveling in between jobs. It was a joy to ski every day and come home to her sweet black labs, Ivy and Alma. Susan was a kind and friendly host, and I think fondly of my month in Silverthorne. I am saddened by the news of her passing; she was a wonderful lady.

I'm saddened to learn of Susan's passing. She was so welcoming when I moved to Silverthorne in the early 2000s and met her through the Sierra Club. I won't forget get-togethers at her cozy cabin on Ptarmigan Mountain, her out-skiing me since she was way better, and her inviting me on the "Girls with Pearls" hike from Maroon Bells to Crested Butte. She was a wonderful friend to many and to animals and the environment. Rest in peace, Susan. I hope you are reunited now with your beloved friend...

Susan was an accomplished educator, lover of the outdoors with a sparkling personality. She was kind to her friends and her amazing pups. She was easy & fun to be around. She loved a good adventure loved a good adventures and I feel fortunate to have enjoyed some of those with her. Keep shining, Sue. We will watch for your light.

Susan and I worked together at Aspen Skiing Co for over a decade helping children learn to ski. Our humor was contagious and we absolutely loved working together. I will miss you Susan❤
