Not sure what to say?

To Family and Friends - Especially to Susan's children and sister, I assure you that Susan's bright light continues to illuminate places in my life. A special friend in ways beyond words, I know you hold her in your heart and miss her to this day. I have learned that I do not "get over" losing people in my life. Instead I learn how to take them with me. And I keep Susan in my heart and send you all love and thoughts about her wonderful ways. Bleas you all. Love, Nancy Hedlund, Honolulu

I miss her sooooooooo much!!!!!!!

Susan's approach to life continues to inspire many of us who loved her. I carry her with me as I move along my life path. I have now had to face the illness she faced and am regularly grateful for the love, wisdom and humor she shared in our friendship. She was teaching me how to live with the challenges of chemotherapy, medical things and the fears that emerge with illness. And she was teaching me to see the opportunities in her experiences so that I would, in turn, be able to do this in my...

As a new year begins, it is important to remember special friends who have shared their love and wisdom with us and made our lives better. Susan was such a friend to me for many years and I still tell her story to people when I encounter someone in need of courage who momentarily forgets to see their own inner strength. I tell them about how brave and enduring Susan was in her dynamic engagement with life in all its realms. She cared so deeply for people and was so unselfish in her ways of...

Dear Family and Friends of Susan - It is now 2010 and hard to believe that time zooms along as it does. I still have wonderful vivid memories of Susan and our friendship in the 90's and into this century. And I still miss her and tell people about her who need the inspiration she showed us all. Susan was a bright light in my life for many years and I will always believe I was so very privileged to know her and love her. She knew how to live! And how to be happy in many different moments and...

I was so saddened to hear and then read of Sue's passing. Knowing her as a teenager through our high school years at La Sierra, I recall her always having a smile and a sparkle in her eyes. She was full of life and bubbly. After reading her Guest Book, I understand that she remained this way throughout her life. I see that tomorrow, friends and family will meet on Kailua Beach to celebrate her life. Know that I will be there with all of you in spirit as you remember her vibrant life.

Susan was a classmate from the 1st graduating class at La Sierra. She kept in contact with many that were a part of the "reunion committee" and we were envious when she relocated to Hawaii. We will miss her and he sparkling smile. She will be remembered at our 50th in 2009.
