Not sure what to say?

I have just learned of Susan's passing. I am shocked and deeply saddened. Just like one of the other gentlemen in the guest book, I also dated Susan when she lived on Connecticut Ave in DC, and visited her loving family with her one Christmas. She was an amazing woman who touched my heart and the hearts of so many -- from her loving, caring and giving ways. I always felt so blessed to have known her. I am a better person for having known her. I regret I never told her so. My thoughts...

I am shocked to learn of Susan's sudden death. I knew her when she worked for USAID, she was the technical advisor on the project where I worked. She was a great colleague, always providing helpful advice. I will never forget the story she told me about delivering a baby in Yemen while in the Peace Corps; I was in awe. The international health community will miss her,as will I.

With community DOTS providers in Haryana. She wanted to get out there and see where the gaps were, to plan USAID's investments. 2007.

Susan was really taken by this multi-faith group of elders who improved TB control and all health services in this Chandigarh slum, 2007

Susan with a DOTS provider near Chandigarh, India - Susan was so pleased with the good job that this woman was doing she asked for a picture with her.

I had the pleasure of working with Susan while in USAID/Washington, in particular on the initiation of the first TB grant to a consortium of reknowned TB organizations -- TBCTA -- The TB Coalition for Technical Assistance -- with its administrative office at KNCV in the Hague. Susan's consumate professionalism, her boundless energy in promoting public health issues (especially TB), and her deep concern...

I dated Susan, fall 89 - spring 90, when she lived off Conn. Ave. in Wash. D.C. and worked at a hospital in Silver Spring. We used to go to the comedy clubs on K St. and eat in Georgetown restaurants. Susan possessed the powerful mix of being an intellectual and strikingly beautiful woman. I was often touched how she helped other people, particularly one occassion of Susan financially assisting an old man, while she was visiting Poland. Susan was a very organized woman and fastidiously kept a...
