Not sure what to say?

To the family and friends of Sue Bard:

I wish Nicole and many, many more people had the chance to have known Sue Bard like I did in the short time that I knew her (March 2009-October 2010). When I first met her at a Howard Community College Club Rush, she was recruiting people for the Jewish Student Union (JSU). I was sincerely curious about it, as I had just discovered my Jewish heritage since my father was Jewish and I didn't know it until shortly before that day in March...

My sister is the President of the JSU at HCC, and she I send our condolences to the Bard family.

To the family of Sue Bard, I wish to express my deepest sympathy. I am an adjunct faculty member at HCC who taught BIOL-101 with Sue from 2005-2008. She was wonderful to work for and with, admired by all, and certainly will be remembered by me. I have a very specific memory that I will treasure of taking a walk with her on campus to the (then) new Horowitz building and sitting together at the music bench while we discussed her illness. Her optimism and enthusiasm were an inspiration to me.

Every part of who I am today is because of who Sue was. There is no stone unturned.

"Remember, put on a happy face and enjoy life" -Sue, 10/14/08

The Bard Family,
As a member of the Howard Community College "family" I will certainly miss Sue. She was a wonderful instructor, well liked and admired by all - a true champion.

Dear Family Members,
I attended Bryn Mawr for three years with Susan. We carpooled and played together after school. I lost touch with her when I left the school and eventually the Baltimore area for Boston. I spoke with her once while we were both in college. This past year fellow classmates I hadn't spoken to in almost a half-century contacted me for their 45th reunion and we discussed Susan. I was unable to go but classmates hoped Susan might join them. Now we are all sorry to hear of...
