Not sure what to say?

I only worked with Susan briefly while she was with the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation, but her memory lives on here. She was evidently a wonderful person and a very smart woman. You have my most sincere condolences and my utmost admiration for her accomplishments.

I met Susan at work. She was carrying Jordan at the time. We became fast friends experiencing North Carolina as Yankee transplants. I shall never forget the truly wretched Elvis impersonator (Susan hid her face and said, "When I left New York, they told me this would happen") or being with Susan at Pinehurst when she was first diagnosed with this dreaded disease.

I shall miss her clear (and amusing) insights on the law and life.

Susan was remarkable. She shared with passion her beliefs and enlightened those willing to listen. I knew her in my childhood growing up the best pest friend of her lil sis, Lisa and many afternoons she shared her concepts of world in our days. I truly believe it wasn't wasted effort. Thanks Susan! My condolances and compassion to her family and loved ones.

Susan and I shared an apartment at the University of Michigan back in 1976. We lost contact over the years..what an accomplished woman she became! I was so sad to learn of her passing through a common friend. I will always remember her friendliness, her smile and her beautiful blue eyes.

I had the pleasure of meeting Susan last summer in Michigan while she was here visiting with her family. She had the most beautiful smile and her warmth was easily felt. I am sure she is looking over her loving family and friends. I will keep Susan and her family in my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

Sincerely, Kathy Tomkiewicz
