Not sure what to say?

We will dearly miss Susan. She was and will always be very special to everyone who knew her. She never complained and was always smiling. Susan was our nurse and she was always very sweet and caring. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Susan will surey be missed by everyone.

I always enjoyed seeing Sue over the years during her visits with sister Jan. Sue was a true day-brightener, and I shall miss her beautiful, welcoming smile. God bless and keep you, dear Sue.

Susan,
I'll always miss you.cindy

Susan was my nurse practitioner for several years and she helped me through alot of health problems. I will always remember her for the wonderful and devoted person that she was. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan was the definition of strength.

There she was -- fighting hard for HER life -- telling ME she had just heard good news from some of the...

What a woman, this Susan Bates. What a woman; wife; mother; nurse; and, to me, an inspiration. Of all the "Suzies" Laura Susan Womble Berman Bates is one who I mostly remember with respect, affection, and in fact, a sense of awe. One lady who has always been able to "step up the the plate" and conquer all of lifes challenges, truly she has left herself in each and everyone she has known. Be assured she is now singing with the angels in all the company of heaven, praising God forevermore....

Raleigh and Family, Susan was a very special lady and dear friend. Susan and I went through this cancer thing together - hers was so much more difficult than mine. I hold her close to my heart. Thanks, Raleigh, for sharing her with me.

Raleigh and family,
Susan was a special Lily who will be so missed by all her sister Lilies. Her smile, her encouraging words, and giving spirit meant so much to each of us as we fight this disease. Thank you for sharing her with us. You are in our thoughts and prayers always. Susan Leighton
