I have lost my best friend of 46 years. Words can not express how I will miss our bi weekly conversations. Susan B was the most considerate, kind and thoughtful person I have known. I, my husband and kids were lucky to have "Aunt Susan"in our lives.

I remember reading in the Chronicle when Susan won a frozen turkey as the prize for coming up with the name Kosher Connection.
When we were at Hebrew High together, I remember her being excited when she was asked out on a date with some guy that had a "raspberry Camarro!" -- Susan's description.
In junior high, we suffered through Algebra together with a teacher named Mr. Kaiser.
Just thought you'd appreciate a few memories of your daughter / sister.

It's difficult at the age of 42 age to lose someone you have known your whole life as I am struggling with the loss of Susan. I have so many wonderful memories of Susan from all those years ago--the vacations, the picnics, the carpools. I am thankful for the times in recent years I had to spend with her to laugh about those days and to be able to be inspired by her amazing courage. I wish I could be there today to help comfort Miriam, Leibert and Sharon and to revel in those memories.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. Our family lived across the street from Susan when we were children...we all had a great time in the cul-de-sac playing hide and go seek! I remember their dog Queenie and how the girls took such good care of her while she was in her walker!
As I read the other entries I see she grew up into a very kind, giving person. My prayers are with you.

To Susan's family and her dear friends:
Susan's courage and lust for life was an inspiration to us all, and an example of what resilience and determination alone can achieve. May she rest in peace.

Susan was an old pal of mine from KU. We both both graduated from the journalism school in 1981. Susan was truly one of the nicest, sweetest people I've ever known. She also had a great wit. I remember Susan was "together" -- composed, responsible, honest and smart. A good listener. Although she and I haven't spoken in several years, I did think of her often, and while I had heard she was still suffering, I got the sense she was still successful in her battle. Wishful thinking I guess, with a...
