Cindy Rosenbaum emailed us recently that Susan's sister Nancy has finally agreed to accept donations toward paying for her gravestone. But we're still waiting for the greenlight to share that information publicly.

And now it's 16 years, her grave continues to be unmarked, though not forgotten; still waiting for her sister to do what she promised so many times to do: put up a stone!

Still hoping that Susan's sister Nancy will eventually authorize a stone on her grave. Our only contact with her is via Cindy Rosenbaum, who, I think, keeps trying to remind her. It's been 15 years now.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Susan's immediate and large extended family/community. I feel honored to know Susan, to have worked with her and learned from her. Her passion, humour, energy and outright stubbornness in moving forward the cause of peace and social justice is a great source of inspiration and strength. Thank you for teaching me and for never ceasing to prod me. I will miss you dearly. Peace and fine journey, Susan.

I am glad this paid notice appeared in the Times, having worked very hard on it with Susan's sister Nancy and friend Cindy Rosenbaum. There were over 100 people at the Oct. 8 burial. There will be hundreds more at the celebration of her life planned for later this fall. More on that when time & place are fixed.
