Not sure what to say?

I worked with Susan for over 4 years at Te whare Rauta ward in Kenepuru. Straight away she pulled me aside and says this is how we are going to care for this patient, any suggestions or problems let me know. She was straight up and very very prompt. She didn't mince her words.Gutsy, determined and very capable.Thank you Sue for being you.Loved our chats together in the tea room as well.I am really gonna miss your enthusiasm, charm and witty sense of humor. You will be hard to forget. RIP and May...

I have fond memories of sea kayaking in the Marlborough Sounds in early to mid 2000´s, enjoying Susan sense of adventure and zest for nature. Susan was always willing to assist me with organising Anakiwa KASK forums. I will always remember her when paddling. Condolences to her family and friends, a tragic loss.

To the Cade Family. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Deep friendships shared with our parents and the extended Reichenbach families.

I have wonderful memories of Sue. We first met at Hutt Hospital where she nursed and I was secretary/pa to various heads of departments. She was warm, sociable and welcoming. Our last meeting was a shared meal at our home in Invercargill in the early 2000s, when she was on one of her adventurous trips. Julie, I remember meeting you many years ago in Sue's home in Lower Hutt. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.

Cade became my photography friend and met her at one of the Photographic Society conventions held in Invercargill and Christchurch. We later went together to one of Scott Fowlers' workshops in Central, and you stayed with us in the Catlins. You also loved going to church with us, which I much appreciated. I will surely miss your beautiful eyes, your laughter, friendship, and deep talks. One day we'll meet again! My deepest condolences to the family. Ella and her husband Guy from the Catlins.

I was in the same nursing class a Sue a long time ago. I also grew up around the corner from her parents house in Hokowhitu, which we discovered while doing a group assignment. A loss to the nursing profession as well as to family and friends. My sincere condolences to Sue's family and friends.

I only knew Susan for a week. But in that short period she had a profound affect on me. In her role as a palliative care nurse she shared with me ideas, knowledge and the way forward to support my interest in dementia care. Because of Susan I have started to research, learn and practice the ideas Susan gave to me. She will always be there as my guide.
