Susan Charlotte Baker Campbell

Susan and her husband Jack were wonderful supporters of the Oregon Camellia Society for many years and had a lovely collection of camellia plants on their property. They hosted our group several times for our summer picnic and Jack, as a board member of the Portland Japanese Garden helped us rejoin with the garden for our annual flower show after a lapse of some years. I remember Susan as a warm and hospitable person and also their son George while he and I shared his authorized smoking...

The Oregon Camellia Society so enjoyed the opportunity to visit the Campbell's garden when the camellias were in bloom. Also, Jack and Susan hosted our summer picnic a couple of times. As President of the society, I send our condolences to the family.

Susan Campbell was a woman of strength and devotion to her family who would forge through any challenge with compassion and fortitude. May her whole family take comfort in her legacy- a gift to all who knew her and were inspired by her work.
