We lost a treasure. Susan passed away on May 6 after 72 years of vibrant life. She was simply an incredible person: kind, giving, gracious and dignified. She attended Garfield in Berkeley, followed by Berkeley High School, each of which...

Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I knew Susan when she worked for Oakland Unified School District as a speech/language specialist, a profession that we shared. I remember her as being so pretty with a warm smile and a great sense of humor. She had a down-to-earth attitude when setting reasonable yet challenging goals for her students. Hank,
While I did not get to know Susan well, I know how much your spirits are lifted whenever you speak of her. I am sorry for your loss and send you much love.

Sue was a lovely woman inside and out.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

With sympathy,

I knew Sue through the Piedmont Playschool when her Scott and my Liz attended. I had the sad job of informing members that the husband of one had died tragically. Sue's comment on hearing the news was so warm, heartfelt, and sympathetic -- more than anyone else's. I never forgot it, or her. She indeed was a very special person. My sympathy and prayers are with her family.
