Not sure what to say?

What a terrible loss. I´m so sorry.

I did not know her but from reading this amazing obituary I am sure I read her stories in the Chronicle when I lived in Houston. The world has lost a lovely brave reporter.

I grew up doubly blessed it seems as I had Susan as a classmate, but my fondest memories w/her are the years we shared in youth group - and many a mission trip - at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church in AZ. My heart goes out to Susy´s family. I grew up in the same neighborhood in AZ and Suzy was such a kind, friendly, and great person. My heart breaks for you all.

Love to Mimi & Gene and the boys.

Such a tragic loss! Susan was a true believer in the power of journalism, not just as a profession but as a cause. She would have been a star in any era. She was a scrapper, would tell you what she thought, and wouldn't compromise on getting the job done the way she thought it needed be done. I knew her for a very small slice of time in school, but have never forgotten her passion. My deepest condolences to her boys, friends, readers and anybody who hadn't yet had the opportunity to be...

Heartbroken. My deepest sympathies to Susan's family.

My condolences to Susan's family.
