Not sure what to say?

I was a student of Ms. Caskey's in 1993 (my 1st grade year). I remember we used to all crowd around her on the rug at "storytime" and fight over who got to sit closest to her. She always had a smile on her face, and a huge hug waiting for you. I will never forget how excited she was over her student's smallest achievements. She knew each child's strengths and weaknesses and knew how to bring out the best in each of them. And she was so very proud of each and every one. She was such an...

To the family of Ms. Caskey, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not personally know Susan, but my heart truly goes out to your family. May you find comfort in knowing that God feels your pain and actually yearns to bring back to life those we have lost. Death is the last enemy that God says he will free mankind of. May you find solace by drawing close to the God who cares for you.

Pete, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Find peace in all of the good memories of Susan and the wonderful person she was. We love you, Cindy, Fred and all of the kids

I am so saddened to learn of Susan's passing. As an assistant teacher, I knew her at MPT and always picture her as bubbly, upbeat, loving, deeply caring. She left her impression on anyone she met.

We were classmates from elementary school through high school (MPHS 1964). I remember Susan as a beautiful, sweet girl who was kind to everyone. I am sad to learn that she has passed away. May God bless and comfort all members of her family.

When I think of Susan Caskey, I am reminded of the passage in the Bible where Peter speaks of Christ: "...he went around doing good." Susan did just that, always seeking to uplift and help others. I never had the pleasure of meeting a kinder, gentler person. I will miss her and her ever-present smile, and I take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will live on in the lives of her family members and all those children whose lives were forever enriched for having had her as a teacher.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I have two children that had the wonderful experience to have Mrs. Caskey as their first grade teacher

News of Susan's passing spurred me to pull out old scrapbooks and enjoy family pictures that include our Charlotte relatives visiting Spartanburg as youngsters. We were spending good times at BeeDee's in many of them. Please know you are in my prayers as you face the days ahead. Love to you all from Tallahassee.
