Not sure what to say?

Sue was a good friend and a tireless proponent of quality science education for youth in our area. As a long-time member and leader of the Cleveland Regional Council of Science Teachers, her dedication and commitment were evident in her relentless effort to prepare outstandinig science teachers for our youth. I was always in awe of everything she accomplished in her work, her responsibities at CRCST, her volunteering at several different venues, and her dedication to family. She was...

Mrs. Clay was my chemistry at Maple Heights High School. She was a great science teacher and cut me a break when I needed it the most. I stumbled upon this obituary when I was thinking about her. I am sorry for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers will always be with your family.

Sue was a friendly, thoughtful, and loquacious professional. She made me feel accepted as a professional and she was always ready to tell me about her family. I always loved hearing her stories about her grandsons because her love for them (and all that interested them) exploded out of her! Her love for all things science: the NEOSEF science fair, the zoo, and teaching left an imprint on numerous people. I will greatly miss her and will be thinking of your family at this time.

Sue Clay was a good friend of ours from Divinity Lutheran Church. Not only did she conduct the children's sermons but also she coordinated the tutoring program at Parma Park Elementary School. After church many times we went to Stancato's, Bakers Square and Friendly's with her and other church members. After she went into hospice, I tried to telephone her weekly and she was always ready to chat. Sue was a good friend who will be missed.

I knew Sue through my mom. They both were part of the Divinity group that would regularly go to Luna's after the first church service. I regularly joined their group for breakfast when I was in town and I remember that Sue would always talk about her experiences volunteering at the zoo. She was a committed volunteer, something that I share with her since I do a lot of volunteer work for arts organizations. When I learned she went into hospice, I called her on the phone to say see how...

She was an amazing science teacher and I still remember her 22 years later. Rest in Peace

Suzie was a stalwart science advocate at the local, (CRCST) , state (SECO), and national (NSTA) level. She worked hard to promote science teaching and understanding. She was a good friend and will be missed.
