I met Sue during one of my photo workshops some years ago and we kept in touch ever since. She loved to share positive energy in emails with photos or jokes attached. It was almost as if she it saw it as a mission to make all of us feel better. To open our eyes just a little more. I was about 8 yrs old when I met Sue Goldman..my brother came home to visit from college and brought his new girlfriend home..I had my own room with twin beds..and I woke up to see this beautiful, smiling,"older" girl in my room..she was sooo pretty and had beautiful, long, red nails, and she quickly made me feel like we would be good friends....she was a role model I never could equal;sophisitcated, warm, sooo smart, and she became my first sister-in-law about a year later..we had lost touch, but I...

Dear Karl and Family,
Peter and I have known and loved Sue for many, many years and will miss her greatly! She had a contagious enthusiasm for life and gave it her all. Her accomplishments were legendary. She serves as a model for us all, showing us how to fight for what is right and not letting adversity deter us from our goals. We will miss her but remember her always. Peter and Karen Gerstenzang

Ms. Gersten, you were the first parent whom I called by first name basis. You were the "cool" parent." During my college years, I'll never forget how you let me stay at your home when I visited my girlfriend who is now my wife. You and Karl were honored guests at our wedding. We also had great times and memories at Burden Lake. We will never forget your kindness. Condolences to Karl and your family. Rest in peace Sue.
