Susan Elizabeth Gilliland

Susan was the type of person that lived life to its fullest. She cared wholeheartedly, loved deeply and placed the interest of others before her own needs. She was witty, caring, trustworthy, dependable, motivated, hardworking, savvy and genuine. She was the very definition of a "people-person". On certain days when Susan was feeling rather sassy, she would jokingly tell me that she was 'beuuuuuuutiful' and would just giggle. She was indeed beautiful yet wouldn't take herself too seriously....

Sus was the BEST!! We would sit at the front desk at the Hoover Senior Center and sing Christmas carols together. She was always willing to lend a helping hand however/whenever. She was a truly special lady. We all loved her so much at the senior center. Oh, how we will miss our shining star, Susan. Keeping all of you in our prayers.

Susan was one of the first people I met when I started working at the Hoover Senior Center. Her fun loving personality certainly made quite
an impression! Susan's warmth and caring will certainly be missed by many. Rest in Peace, Susan, knowing the many people you have touched
during your time here.
