GOLDSMITH, Susan Susan Goldsmith 81 died Monday, May 8, 2006 at a local hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Goldsmith is survived by family including many nieces and nephews in New York and Japan. She spent most of her life in New York, recently relocating to Mt. Pleasant where she quickly gained the affection of many friends through her loving and kind ways. Susan embraced all mankind in a blanket of warmth and generosity for which she will be eternally remembered and appreciated. She will be missed by her many and cherished friends in New York , South Carolina and Japan and by her trusted canine companion, Rosey. A Gathering of Friends will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Renaissance on Charleston Harbor, 100 North Plaza Court, Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 400 Perimeter Center Terrace, Suite 750, Atlanta, GA 30346. Susan, strong and kind, always with a nice smile. Many walks with Pina and Yuki & Tachi along the East River - sometimes for 50 blocks or more.

One could always see Susie and her beloved companion Rosey walking along Patriot's Point Blvd. They will be missed and remembered. May Susie rest in peace as she was a peaceful being.
