Susan Greenberg

Susan was a wonderful person ,extraordinary mother and wife...She is missed by many and I am thankful I was able to spend time with her and get to know her over the period of time that I did.

I knew Susan for a very short time while caring for Elijah and Corrina, but she touched my life in an unforgettable way. My heart goes out to her family.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Susan's passing. The memories I have of her open face, kind and shy demeanor and intense love for Lurrie and their children will stay with me always.

Dear Judith and Aubrey,

Please know that I'm shocked and saddened by the loss of your daughter Susan. It's every parents nightmare, losing such a young child. I remember all of the blond Greenbergs frolicking in Lincoln Park and around Parker School. Lovely memories that I will keep forever. All of the Siegels send our love and affection,

It was with such shock and sadness that I received this news. I think of your family often, and remember Susan fondly. I am so very, deeply sorry for you all. I haven't seen her of course for many many years - but I hope it helps you to know that when I picture Susan, what I see in my mind is her whole face crinkling up into a wide smile - and I am sure I am not the only one to remember her that way.

Susan's photography was a vital part of the Chicago blues scene. Her talent was immense. She and Lurrie forged a very special bond. Susan brought Lurrie back into "the light". May she rest in peace.
