Dear Bob, Betsy and Clair, I am very sorry to hear of Susan's passing. Susan was one of the loveliest and most inspiring women I have ever met and she had a great sense of humour. She helped so many people and was so, so nice to my girls and me. She had, I remember, the most sensible attitude to anything and she was totally fearless (like, she said she wasn't scared of taking the subway).
