To Elliott and Ozella: I have many fond memories of times spent with Aunt Sue on Barnes Street in Rocky Mount. She did a lot for my self-esteem, and convinced me that I could cook the best spagetti in the world! In later years, I was inspired by the fearlessness and courage she displayed as she left all that was familiar in Georgia and forged ahead, creating a new life for herself and her children in North Carolina.
