I painted with her in a few painting class. She was a talented painter and generous with her critiques. She will be missed by our class.

Susan and her family were wonderful friends to me on Chebeague island. I always felt that we could discuss anything and appreciated the time I got to spend with her.
My thoughts are with the whole family.

I was shocked and saddened to read Susan's obituary. We were colleagues at UNUM many years ago. Her obituary captures her adventurous and kind spirit that I admired along with her fierce intellect. I am so sorry for your sudden loss.

Your wife and mother was not known to me. But the vibrancy of her life came through in this notice. It compelled me to write to you. Susan sounds like someone who I would love to be friends with - especially while walking! You honored her well. Keep her spirit and personality alive - never stop telling stories about her. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow. I'm stunned and saddened that this light has gone dark. Susan was a wonderful colleague, a feared competitor, a brilliant mind, and a lovely person. Her ever lively spirit, captured so aptly in her joy of debate (and winning those debates) and the range of her intellect are forever etched in my mind. A great loss for her family, her industry, and her community.

Susan was a great role model, someone who led by example. She showed unparalleled generosity to me and to so many other employees of the successful firm that she built. Thoughts and prayers to her devoted husband John and to their children (who made her so proud), as they cope with this sudden loss.
