Not sure what to say?

Ms Susan Gordy was a customer of mine for over 35 years, she was a sweet lady always fun to talk with She loved Atlanta , people and her puppy dogs. She will be missed . She was a good Christian lady. Rest In Peace Ms Susan , Love ya

While in college (1978-82), I worked summers at the Varsity, Jr., first for Frank, Jr. and the later for Susan. What others have said about her is so true--she was elegant, even working behind the counter; she was caring, communicating that she valued her employees; tireless, often working in the office til closing time in those early days; and innovative in expanding the business and in putting her own, signature style onto an iconic brand. She will certainly be missed.

I did business with Susan for years. She was always fair and welcoming.
She also catered a party for my family, and it was talked about for years. Rest in Peace.

So sad to hear about Susan. We valued her friendship.

I was a board member of The Atlanta Humane Society along with Susan. She was a kind, caring person and I loved serving with her. I am so sorry that she is no longer with us. The world is a little less kind and caring now that she has passed. I hope that she is happily reunited with her puppy pals who will greet her at the Rainbow Bridge.

Blessings, Susan,

I grew up with Susan on Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. My older sister, Ellen, and Susan were great friends. I remember the two of them always playing dolls and changing their clothes frequently. They both had doll trunks and whenever they went to each other’s houses, the doll trunks were always in tow.

Another memory I have is that the Hunter’s backyard was full of jungle gyms, swings, and anything that one could find on a playground.

As adults, whenever we went to the...

She was an inspiration and always full of energy every time. Thankful that I had an opportunity to be in her presence.

Saddened even though I had not seen her in years. Fond memories.

We grew up next door to Susan’s family on Peachtree Dunwoody and played in her grandfathers fish pond, neighbors had horse stables and even a trapeze. Susan used to babysit my two sisters and me. She was always bubbly and sweet when we see her at the Varsity JR, where we moved around the corner and would see her on date night, in pearls with her Jaguar parked in back
She was legendary!
