Not sure what to say?

I was very sick when I met her, and she did surgery right away. I'm now 75 years old and will always remember how much she cared about me. I was only in my 20s and scared about my future. She made sure I understood my options. It was a miracle to find a woman Dr. that was incredibly talented and that I could trust.

We met in my Freshman year (1962) at UofM...Susie's junior year I think. She was brilliant and we stayed in touch thru 2011, and somehow lost contact after that. She was a very unique person, and a loyal friend. She cared deeply about her patients. I stayed w/her when I went back for my 20yr reunion. Wish we hadn't lost touch, and that I'd known sooner about her passing. From reading all the comments from her patients, it's obvious that she never lost her love of being a doctor and giving...

I waited hoping this would sink in. It was shocking and sad to find out in a letter that Dr Kennedy is gone. While hers was a life well lived - a life to truly honor and celebrate - I hated to see this come. Susan Kennedy was my doctor for 50 years. She was my "true north". In my 20´s she pointed me in the right direction more than once; when I had tough choices to make about becoming a Mom in my thirties, she told me what I needed to hear whether I liked it or not; and as I aged into my...

I just saw this and so sorry to hear of her passing. In 1974, I was 19, had an unplanned pregnancy, newly married and was so scared. Dr. Kennedy was the first doctor who made me feel calm and good about my pregnancy. We had a good birth experience. In 1979, our second child was born at home with Dr. Kennedy in attendance. We were the last home birth she did. We will always remember her with gratitude!

Dr. Kennedy, the news of your passing comes to me late this day via a letter from Trinity Health. I am stunned and saddened that I will no longer be your patient after more than 50 years! I am blessed by having known you and your care of me in routine and emergent ways. My love to you as you pass from this life to the next.

Dr. Kennedy was honest, frank, and had an educated opinion on most things. She was a MD, cut from the old pattern, that were thorough, and never rushed anyone through. I will forever miss our conversations about politics and the state of our society. Luckily, we were of like mind. Relax and Rest...very much earned.

Susan was a high school classmate. Sault Ste. Marie. We were good friends in undergrad at UM. She was the one that went to the P Bell with me on my 21rst birthday. I was in medical school 2 years before her and then with Viet Nam lost contact. I´m not surprised to hear that she was a fine physician.

We knew her well since she married Dr. John O´Sullivan. Sad news to hear she will be greatly missed.

Sad news. I was fortunate to meet her in my early years and continued until she retired. She delivered my daughter. Much respect for Dr. Kennedy.
