Susan Cirak Mason

I first met Susan while attending my first PFLAG meeting in Urbana. Susan was such a warm and loving woman. Susan certainly helped me get through some rough times in my life. I also know how much her family meant to her- she never stopped sharing about all her family. We maintained our friendship even it was once a year when she supported buying flowers from The Springfield Pilot Club. I always enjoyed catching up with Susan. Susan and I first met in the 4th grade, Fishinger Elementary School. We grew up on the same street, were in the same Girl Scout Troop, and Job's Daughters. We spent summers often riding our bicycles to Tremont swimming pool with our neighborhood group of friends. So many memories. Rest in peace dear friend. Joy

Mrs. Mason was one of my substitute teachers in highschool, back in 2005-2006. I was pregnant at the time & she was so sweet & thoughtful, she brought me in some gifts for my son, 1 of them I still have to this day, it was a little crocodile bathtub book (it ended up being 1 of his most favorite childhood toys) though I only had the pleasure of knowing her briefly, she certainly made a memorable impact. My thoughts & prayers are with the family as you grieve this tremendous loss.
